The OWSI course in Phuket, Thailand is the final step to becoming a certified PADI Instructor. During this course, you'll refine your teaching skills and learn how to conduct the full range of PADI core courses. Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible to attend the PADI Instructor Examination (IE).

🗓️ Duration & Schedule

The OWSI course is part of the Instructor Development Course (IDC).  In Phuket, It typically takes 5–6 days, depending on group size and prior training.

📋 Course Requirements

  • Minimum certification: PADI Assistant Instructor (or completed full IDC)

  • At least 100 logged dives by the time of the Instructor Exam

  • Valid EFR certification (within the last 24 months)

  • Medical clearance (within the last 12 months)
