Freediver Instructor Course

“Breathe….”

The blue world breaks into color—the gentle rolling navy blue of the Pacific swells, brilliant tones of gold and tangerine marking the rising sun as it spills across the morning sky.

“Breathe…” you hear your safety diver echo.

As you fill your lungs with the sweet ocean air and the world comes into focus, your first concern is your student, who surfaces, places both of her hands on the buoy and begins her recovery breathing with you. She finished here breathing and signals “okay”—another great dive…

While it may seem like just another freedive, it’s one unlike any you’ve experience before—because this time you’re imparting this majestic experience of freediving upon another human being. The opportunity to share the underwater world with others on a single breath can be yours during our Freediver Instructor Course. It’s all part of your incredible journey as a freediver, and one that will help you reach depths you only dreamed were possible.

Our golden buoy bobs on the sea, our descent line reaching for the depths just west of the first shelf of the La Jolla Canyon wall. Somewhere below in the infinite blue a bottom plate hovers, waiting for you and your freedivers. This experience is one of three days in the open ocean that our Freediver Instructor Candidates train to as a part of our course. Precise attention to technique, safe practices, and cultivating a passion for the deep is what sets our Freediving Instructor Course apart from the competition.

You love the exhilarating free fall to the depths, now share it with the world—one new freediver at a time. Will you join us?
